Train from many IMAP/Maildir folders

Howdy all,

Since the "re-train from scratch" meme seems to be common for bogofilter
:-( I may as well ask about something many users want to know.

I systematically save all my email: spam goes into several spam folders,
ham goes into hundreds of folders organised by various criteria. These
are Maildir folders, accessed over IMAP.

I know that training from an mbox is easy; pipe the whole thing to an
appropriate 'bogofilter' command. How does one train from folders such
as IMAP or Maildir?

The last time I did this, I went through hurdles to generate mbox files
from my folders, using my MUA manually; it took many hours of manual
babysittng. I'd much rather feed the folders to bogofilter more
directly.

The ideal solution would be one I can type in quickly and walk away:

=====
$ (some_command spam-folder-foo/ spam-folder-bar/) | bogofilter -s
$ (some_command ham-folder-baz/ ham-folder-moo/) | bogofilter -n
=====
