Oh, and two more things:

(1) we've moved all the functionality the bf_* scripts need from
    BerkeleyDB utilities into bogoutil so that the scripts no longer
    depend on the external utilities;

(2) we've removed the lock table sizing difficulties by reinstating a
    global lock because these lock table issues bit too many people.

So these are two more reasons to go for 1.0.0.

My support of previous bogofilter versions will be very limited.
