The directory precedence fix is dated 3/25.  I've noticed that code can 
work incorrectly for months and that, as soon as you say "release 
candidate" people suddenly start noticing problems and report them.  If I 
was working on a Ph.D. in psychology, it might make for an interesting thesis!
