Yesterday I posted a query to the MandrakeExpert mailing list.  I'll
make the suggestion at the appropriate time.

The need for 'catalog' was nuking my rpm builds, so I needed a
workaround.  We can back it out.  Also, I'll see about updating my
toolchain.
