Gyepi, As Matthias is our autotool expert, I'll leave the complete answer to him. The short (incomplete) answer is that I am using autoconf-2.55 and automake-1.7.1. I think he's using the same (or newer). If you update, the problem will probably resolve itself. Likely, we need to document what versions are necessary and what are recommended. David
