Thanks to Thomas Anderson's not-so-subtle prodding, I have modified
bogofilter-milter.pl so that incoming messages can be filtered with
spamitarium.pl before being fed into bogofilter. More generally, any
user-specific external script can be called. In addition, this new version
of bogofilter-milter.pl has two additional changes:

1. It now adds a unique identifier to each message by adding a
variable called "milter_id" to the X-Bogosity line. This is useful for
automated retraining tools.

2.        It now supports per-user Subject filters, i.e., user-specific
regular expressions which are matched against incoming messages to detect
messages that should not be filtered. Search for $subject_filter_file in the
configuration section for more information.

In conjunction with this, I have released a new bogofilter-milter.pl
<http://stuff.mit.edu/~jik/software/bogofilter-milter/>  home page;
previously the script was its home page, and that wasn't really good enough.
The home page discusses installing bogofilter-milter.pl in detail, and it
also discusses how to set up a mechanism for allowing users to retrain
bogofilter over time, including the script I use to do my own retraining.

You can view the home page at
