Hi Bob,

Installing bogofilter is given under "Basic Installation":

  4. Type 'make install' to install the programs and any data files and
     documentation.

and, under "'configure' Invocation" is

   'configure' recognizes the following options to control how it  
   operates.

  '--help'
  '-h'
     Print a summary of the options to 'configure', and exit.

However, I suspect the above information doesn't really address your
concern :-(  Have you another project's INSTALL file in mind that does a
better/cleaner/clearer job of providing the needed info?  If so, I'll be
glad to take a look at it and see what can be done for bogofilter.
