Hi pi,

Matthias is our portability expert and I know he's mastered building
bogofilter on FreeBSD. I'm sure he'll have useful suggestions. Likely
he'll ask for your config.log.

As I recall, config.cache is generated by older versions of aubtoconf,
but not the current versions. It's presence will (generally) help the
configure process but can cause trouble if the system configuration has
changed.

Do ask the basic questions: Is this the first time you've built on
FreeBSD? Do you have the BerkeleyDB development package installed?

If you look at config.log, near the end there should be messages about
BerkeleyDB. I'd expect the last few such messages to have the
information that's relevant. If you'd post the last 10 or 15 such
lines, I don't think anybody would mind.

Ciao,

David
