bogofilter -p repeating last line in message

Hi,
Ever since installing our new mailserver (which is running bogofilter
0.7.3), I've occasionally noticed that the last line in the message is
repeated, except for the first character.
e.g.
------------------
blah blah blah
signed,
Barry
arry
------------------
The 'arry' was NOT in the original message from the sender.
I assumed sendmail or eudora or something else was causing this, but today
I found that it is bogofilter -p
It ONLY seems to happen if there is a blank line at the end of the message.
Then, the last line and the blank line are repeated, except for the first char.
This can be seen by executing bogofilter -p manually:
# bogofilter -p
hello
^D
hello
#
(no problem here)
# bogofilter -p
hello
<CR>
^D
hello
ello
#
(problem!)
This is on a linux (RH 7.3) system running bogofilter 0.7.3.
The shell I'm using is bash, and bogofilter is invoked by procmail
(procmail-3.22-5 rpm).
Thanks,
Barry
