Hehe. I don't know how well the cross-compiler will work out, as it's
for Linux, it should be no major deal though. It's probably sufficient
to look at the assembly dump of our function and found the minimal set
of optimizer options that make the problem go away, if you will do the
gcc maintainers' work.
