OSX install problems

Thanks very much for your detective work! 

I would greatly appreciate it if  someone on the development team would
clarify this and hopefully get it fixed. I am getting so frustrated at
getting closer but not there, reminds me of the Paul Simon song "Slip
sliding away" ;-)
