Converting old wordlist.db to Berkeley format?

Just to throw in another 2 cents 

You want to look at the db tools provided with BerkeleyDB.
Depending upon how it is packaged in your disto you should find
available 
/usr/bin/db53_upgrade
/usr/bin/db53_verify
/usr/bin/db53_recover

I can remember only 1 instance were Bdb upgrades caused issue with
bogofilter but that was known and steps were in given for upgrading 
the wordlist.db.
