reading config file

I have a config file in my home .bogofilter directory and in
the /etc/bogofilter.cf file I point to this.

However, when I install a new version, /etc/bogofilter.cf gets
overwritten and bogofilter then uses the default values.

Would it be possible for bogofilter first to check whether any of
#user_config_file=~/.bogofilter.cf
##user_config_file=~/.bogofilterrc
##user_config_file=~/.bogofilter/config
exist before using the defaults.

That way, we wouldn't have to edit /etc/bogofilter.cf each time we
install a new version.
