No guarantee. There is an option in Firefox (and presumably everywhere)
to configure you email to be sent in one of three formats: text only,
text and html, html only.

I have also been experiencing problems with a MIME to HTML project I've
been working on. Trying to write a program to manage MIME is like
herding cats.

Even when you have a multipart with text and html, there is no guarantee
that the content is identical. It's just a nice idea to try and keep
them the same.
