How do I diagnose problem?

Is this Berkeley DB packaged by SuSE or compiled by you?  Was it built
to use x86/assembly mutexes, POSIX/pthreads, fcntl, or something else?
What version of gcc was used to compile it?  Is your environment purely
64-bit or do you have a 32-bit userland as well?
