Greetings,

the bogofilter transactional data base code has been completed.

This means that bogofilter can now use Berkeley DB for a data base that
does not get corrupted on crashes, application crashes/aborts, filled
disk drives, problems during registration; provided that your hardware
works well and does not lie to the OS about I/O completion.

The new code will automatically detect when data base recovery is
necessary and run it, so this code should be fine when left unattended.

NOTE though: this is the first public release of the new transactional
code and has not been through heavy duty tests, but has only seen light
tests at my home machine. As usual with new code, run only on test
machines.

DO NOT RUN THIS ON PRODUCTION MACHINES YET!

To test the new code, download these two files:

    bogofilter-0.92.6+txn2.0.tar.bz2
    bogofilter-0.92.6+txn2.0.tar.bz2.asc

from

    http://home.pages.de/~mandree/bogofilter/

Then check the GnuPG signature
(type: gpg --verify bogofilter-0.92.6+txn2.0.tar.bz2.asc)

unpack the tarball and READ THE doc/README.db FILE!

Then, build and install on your test computer as usual.

Have fun,
