I don't think users care too much what is under the hood that doesn't
require them to change their setup, and this doesn't require changes to
continue to work.

Once we think it's time for 1.0rc1, it's time to search the archives for
all our TODO lists that got posted over the past two years, merge them
with the TODO file and decide on the release plan, maintenance/release
policy and see if we need another 0.94 branch first.
