Hi Fletcher,

The short answer is "No". The symptoms you describe, i.e. file
permissions changing unexpectedly, sound like the side effects of msec
(mandrake security) on my Mandrake machine. What distribution are you
running? Does it have any security related daemons or cron jobs that
might be responsible? Is there a pattern to when the permissions
change, i.e. do they change on the hour or at 0400??

David
