Only the old type of signature (preserved for compatibility with broken
Windows mail readers) uses that.  Normally I would emit something like

 Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-ripemd160;
        protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="sdtB3X0nJg68CQEu"
 ...
