bogofilter headache # 0.16.4

I'm trying to run a script from a .forward file under Solaris 8 which
is patched thru last week

.forward goes

  "|/usr/local/bin/bogo-doit"

If /usr/local/bin/bogo-doit reads

  !#/bin/sh
  
  cat > /tmp/looka

The mail transaction turns up in /tmp/looka

But if /usr/local/bin/bogo-doit reads

  !#/bin/sh

  bogofilter -p -e -u -l -O /tmp/looka

the bad bogofilter dumps core

Sendmail ls 8.12.x tho Sun-supplied 8.11.y was tried 1st w. same effect
Note bogifilter has been 'primed' and, using the "/tmp/looka" in
1st example...

   cat /tmp/looka | bogofilter -p -e -u -l -O /tmp/looka.out

Makes an expected result
