Empty spam messages?

There is a rumor/suggestion that they are people looking for real
email accounts. The theory goes like this; 'If the message bounces then
its a dead/fake account and that email can be removed from the spam
list'

Personally, I think its some dodgy spam program that simply does not
work correctly.

I get a few a day.
