Any 3.X or 4.X version should do, I'm using Bogofilter with BerkeleyDB
v4.1 and v4.0 in production, but I know it compiles with v3.3 as well.

Try something like: ./configure --with-libdb-prefix=/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.1
