Hello Michael,

This mailing list, like most all others I know, has a problem staying on
topic and within its charter. Bogofilter has two primary mailing lists -
this one (bogofilter at aotto.com) and the developer's list
(bogofilter-dev at aotto.com).

Ideally messages are posted to the proper list and comments follow the
original subject and remain appropriate to the list. In practical use,
posts aren't always to the proper list and follow-up messages have
subject/content drift that can cause a thread to "belong" on the other
list. Certainly I have done this many times and will likely do it again.

With luck, most messages are on the proper list. Short of running
moderated lists (which isn't going to happen with these lists), that's the
best that can be done.

I hope this helps, but have my doubts :-(

David
