test fails on HP

I found my problem.  Turned out not to be a problem with bogofilter at all, 
but with the Berkeley DB.  The upshot was that it was not updating the SPAM 
database prior to running the 2b checks.  Installing a different version of 
Berkeley DB fixed the problem.
