All it takes to convert bogofilter back to using "-->" at the end of html 
is a one line change in html.c.  Just change the boolean variable 
short_check from true to false.

The big code change is in cvs on SourceForge.  Info on cvs retrieval is on 
their site.  If that doesn't work, I can build a tarball for you.
