Is this really a showstopper?  Did it work previously and is now 
broken?  If so, that'd be cause to fix and release 0.8.0.rc2.  If this has 
never worked, it sounds like an enhancement for 0.8.1, rather than a reason 
to delay release of 0.8.0.
