I've considered using (Postfix):

main.cf:
mime_header_checks = pcre:/etc/postfix/mime_header_checks

mime_header_checks:
/^Content-Type:\s+multipart\/alternative/ 550 Please only send plain text.
/^Content-Type:\s+text\/html/ 550 HTML is not welcome here. Please send plain text.

But refrained from it so far.

Plain text doesn't allow for hide-and-seek games. I fear we'd need to
parse some of HTML which I'm not particularly fond of.
