Clint,

I thought I had the 2.5.4/2.5.31 problem fixed a long time ago. 
Evidently bit rot has crept into the code :-<

With the attached patched, I can build with both flex-2.5.4 and
flex-2.5.31.

Give it a try and let me know if it works for you.
