I suggested that initially, but David (rightly) believes we haven't
enough test results to make a final decision, and until then he would
prefer to have both in the cvs tree.  I have made a personal decision
to run Robinson's method only in production; others may decide
likewise, but a large ymmv disclaimer applies.  My patch is against
0.7.5 not cvs; cvs will change, but my patch won't -- not till a new
stable release appears, unless I add or backport some new
functionality.
