An interesting wrinkle in RBLs is Jonathan Zdziarski's Streamlined
Blackhole Project, http://www.nuclearelephant.com/projects/sbl.  It
seems like a neat, automated, real-time approach, plus it's personality
free!

Trusted users can report IP addresses for spammers.  Given enough
reports per hour from different users, the address is blacklisted (for a
while). Anyone can query for an address's status.  

I'm enjoying running it and seeing its results.  As bogofilter is my
spam defense, SBL is a fun sideline.
