filter seems to be ignored

I'm trying to get my filter file to be utilized, and it appears to be
being ignored.

I'm trying to block a <humor> "fine upstanding internet poster" </humor>
that sends pics that are skewed, screwed, and has nothing in them.

My *.filter file looks like this;

(from matches "B1FF")
(subject matches "Free money")
(filename equals "command.com")
(subject matches "Nancy")
(filename equals "Nancy")
(subject matches "kristin")
(subject matches "Kristen")
(subject matches "purple")
(subject matches "Kate")

I'm still receiving files with kristen, kate, and purple in them.

Do I have the filter setup correctly, or am I incorrectly setting them?

Thanks
